Terms & Conditions

Membership Overview

Bar Besuto Private Whisky Bar offers an exclusive annual membership program providing access to a curated whisky experience, private events, and member-only benefits.

Domestic Membership
• First Year Membership Fee: $1500 AUD
• Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
• Includes $500 AUD credit towards bottle keep on your first visit

International / Interstate Membership
• First Year Membership Fee: $1000 AUD
• Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
• Includes $500 AUD credit towards bottle keep on your first visit
• Available to members residing outside of NSW

Eligibility

• Members must be 18 years or older (in accordance with Australian law)
• Valid identification may be required upon entry

Membership Benefits

Membership includes (but is not limited to):

• Access to the rarest Japanese whisky collection in Australia
• Access to curated bar lists and restaurants in Japan
• Opportunities to join distillery tours in Japan (where applicable)
• Up to 3 guests per visit
• Invitations to private tastings and events (additional fees apply)
• Priority reservations at Besuto Omakase

Benefits are subject to change at management’s discretion

Membership Application

Membership subject to approval.

Applicants may be asked questions as part of the application process, including:

“What is the last whisky you would have before you die?”

Bottle Keep & Credit

• The $500 AUD credit is applied towards bottle keep on your first visit
• Stored bottles remain the property of the member (6 months)
• Bar Besuto reserves the right to manage storage capacity

Non-Transferability

• Memberships are non-transferable and may only be used by the registered member
• Sharing, reselling, or transferring membership access is strictly prohibited

Code of Conduct

All members agree to:

• Respect staff, other members, and the venue at all times
• Follow all responsible service of alcohol (RSA) laws
• Not engage in disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour

Bar Besuto reserves the right to refuse service or revoke membership if conduct standards are not met

Bookings & Attendance

• Reservations are recommended and subject to availability

• To arrange a booking, members will be provided with a dedicated mobile number to contact

• Messages are welcome at any time; responses will be provided Tuesday–Saturday between 3:30pm and 12:00am

• Late arrivals or no-shows may result in booking restrictions

• Special events may require additional fees

Payments & Refunds

• Membership fees are non-refundable
• Membership cannot be paused, transferred, or extended
• No refunds will be issued for unused time or benefits

Cancellation & Termination

Bar Besuto reserves the right to:

• Cancel or suspend a membership at any time for breach of these terms
• Modify or discontinue membership offerings with reasonable notice

No refunds will be provided in the event of termination due to misconduct

Liability

• Members enter and consume alcohol at their own risk
• Bar Besuto is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property
• Members must comply with all venue policies and local regulations

Privacy

• Member information will be used solely for operational and communication purposes
• Details will not be shared with third parties 

Amendments

Bar Besuto reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of any changes
